I am going on holiday. Nothing remarkable about that, except it’s my first true substantial holiday away from everything related to my hobbies (higher education policy), side projects (higher education policy) and day job (higher education policy) in a very long time. As a result, there will be no new posts on the site until June when I return and the wonkery can recommence.
Martin Hughes will be minding the Twtter account in my absence, tweeting wonktastic reads, interesting links and anything else he choses to. Let’s hope he keeps things sensible.
Eagled-eyed readers may have noticed the tinniest addition to wonkhe’s mission in recent weeks. wonkhe is now for anyone interested in higher education policy, culture and politics. The word culture has been added for two reasons – 1) to reflect higher education’s important contribution to cultural debates, for example the excellent posts by Will Brooker or the ongoing discussion about Stefan Collini. 2) I hope to include more contributions in the future about the culture of higher education itself. I feel that both are related to eachother as well as the wider goals of the site, and so I felt this was a natural evolution. The wonkhe project will never be finished.
See you in June.
